Personal Profile

Ye Zuguang is a second-level researcher, Ph. D. supervisor, special allowance expert of the State Council, and chief scientist of the 973 Chinese Medicine Project in the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CATCM) received a Master's degree in Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and two visiting scholars from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, West Virginia University, USA, from 1986 to 1989 and 1992 to 1994.

For decades, he has been engaged in the research of pharmacology and toxicology of Chinese materia medica and the research and development of new Chinese materia medica and health products. As the project leader, he undertook more than 30 national research projects at various levels, among which 9 were awarded achievement awards at different levels. More than 100 papers were published in domestic academic journals, and 12 academic works were edited as chief editor, deputy editor and editorial board. He also served as the director of the Professional Committee of New Drug Delivery System of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the World Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the vice-chairman of the Professional Committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacology, the editor-in-chief of the Chinese Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine Information and the vice-editor of the Journal of Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
